Going green....

We've been talking about the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility. Here is a link to an article from Entrepreneur Magazine https://www.entrepreneur.com/management/greencolumnistbillroth/article192980.html

The article mentions-This is a social revolution. That the changing stakeholders perceptions will take time. Companies (marketers) will have to change they way stakeholders think about your products. The interesting stat is that while there has been much fanfare about things like hybrid cars that hybrids are still only 1 percent of new car purchases.

We talked about the importance of stakeholders in marketing. What do you think that we can do to change how our customers, shareholders, vendors and community think about our products and how do we change their expectations as to what we will be delivering to them?

The article also mentions that buying into the green economy will forever change the way you view the world and its business opportunities. It also mentions that new products and green marketing promotions will be what is expected from stakeholders and will provide companies with opportunities.

If you were in a marketing role for a consumer products company what kinds of things would you look to do to create a socially responsible product/company?
